Stycast 2850FT/Catalyst 9, Cryo-Accessories
Single use 5-gram Burstable Twinpaks of Stycast 2850FT/Catalyst 9 with dispense tip.
STYCAST 2850 FT is a two component, thermally conductive epoxy encapsulant that can be used with a variety of catalysts. It features a low coefficient of thermal expansion and excellent electrical insulative properties. The STYCAST 2850 FT Blue is recommended for use in high voltage applications where surface arcing or tracking is a concern. Designed for encapsulation of components which need heat dissipation and thermal shock properties. Catalyst 9 for general purpose with good chemical resistance and physical strength with a viscosity Pa.s cP of 0.080 to 0.105 and 80 to 105.
Burstable TwinPaks feature a frangible (burstable) seal that separates the two components until you are ready to use. Applying deliberate pressure will cause the seal to break or burst, allowing the components to mix together with dispensing tip.
Key Features and Benefits

Description
TWINPAK MIXING INSTRUCTIONS
Burstable Twinpak
1) Carefully remove outer poly or foil bag without puncturing the inner Twinpak.
2) Roll up one end of the Twinpak sleeve and press down to burst seal between A and B.
3) Run the Twinpak sleeve back and forth from end to end over the edge of a bench
approximately 40-50 times or 20-25 back and forth cycles.
4) If you see striations, non-uniform color, or if your resins do not have contrasting colors, mix
an additional 10-15 cycles.
5) The Twinpak sleeve with mixed residue in most cases can be discarded as non-hazardous
waste.
Note: Read MSDS prior to mixing or dispensing and use appropriate personal protective
equipment i.e. safety glasses and rubber gloves.
